Otia Joseliani - Soviet and Georgian writer, screenwriter
Otia Shalvovich Joseliani was a Soviet and Georgian writer and screenwriter.
He was born on June 16, 1930 in Gvistibi, Tskhaltubo District. Joseliani completed his studies at the Higher Literary Courses in 1961. He started publishing his works in 1954, with his first book being a collection of children's stories titled "Close Neighbors" ("Karis mezolblebi", 1957).
Notable Works
Two of Joseliani's novels, "The Falling Stars" ("Varskvlavtcvena", 1962; translated into Russian in 1963) and "Captive among Captives" ("Tkvetatkve", 1972), are dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War.
